Sign in on a new device

When adding a new device, complete login and then validate account safety controls before daily use.

Post-login checks

  • Confirm your alias, profile image, and account details.
  • Check blocked users, privacy toggles, and biometric lock settings.
  • Open a known chat to verify message and typing behavior.

Recommended sequence

  1. Sign in using your normal login or recovery method.
  2. Validate account settings and subscription status.
  3. If part of a workspace, confirm that your device is not revoked and channel access works.

If the old device is untrusted

  • Remove local sessions where possible.
  • For workspace environments, ask an admin to review active devices.
  • Change sensitive credentials and monitor for unusual account activity.
